John Brant studied music and performing arts at the Brit School in Croydon.
He began his professional career at R.G.Jones Recording Studios in Wimbledon, where he first worked with Simon May and Simon Lockyer as sound engineer for numerous TV and Film soundtracks such as EastEnders, Castaway, The Tribe and Pet Rescue.
He has also worked with artists such as Cliff Richard, Pulp, The Fugees, Paul Weller and J-Lo.
John also formed a great friendship with writer/producer Alan Tarney. It was at Alan's Richmond studio where John engineered and co-programmed the Cliff Richard album 'Wanted'.

John has co-written songs for various artists including Brian Kennedy and the Celtic Tenors. John currently co-writes as part of the Music On Screen team with Simon May & Simon Lockyer.
