Simon Lockyer studied at The Royal Academy of Music and played in the National Youth Orchestra. He began his music career as arranger working with Simon May on TV shows like EastEnders, Howards’ Way, Trainer, and Animal Park.
Simon co-wrote with Simon May the themes to The Tribe, Castaway, Don’t Try This At Home, Brat Camp, Dealing With Dickinson and Pet Rescue as well as many tracks for KPM, Juice Music and Universal Music.
He is a talented cellist, pianist and clarinettist, and has toured with several shows as a keyboard player. Simon has also enjoyed success as a songwriter. Together with Max Preece he wrote and produced the debut album for British girl group NS2 who were signed to BMG in Hong Kong and released to rave reviews in several far eastern countries. He has also written and produced for several R&B artists with total album sales in excess of 250,000.
